Why buy a sauna? 

Weight loss & increased metabolism

Daily use of a sauna generates a similar boost on the cardiovascular system as running, according to the Journal of the American Medical Association. As the heat increase your body temperature, your body produces sweat, pumps blood, and burns calories.

two-phase, sauna weight loss study conducted by Binghamton University in New York revealed that an increase in core body temperature resulted in a decrease in body fat. It concluded that people who used a Clearlight Premier IS-3 infrared sauna three times a week for 30 minutes per session dropped an average of 4 percent body fat over a four-month period. For a 175-pound man, that represents a weight reduction of seven pounds. Participants who experienced infrared sauna weight loss did not change their exercise or diet patterns during the study. Control groups in the study who did not use the Clearlight Sauna® showed no drop in weight. The study findings illustrate the significant boost that infrared therapy provides for our weight loss goals.1

Better sleep

Saunas have been used for many years, especially in Northern Europe. A study conducted in Helsinki, Finland in 1976 by Putkonen PT and Elomaa E. found that on the nights the participants took a sauna before bed, they experienced an improved level of deep sleep versus other nights. The result was a deep sleep increased by 70% in the first 2 hours and approximately 45% during 6 hours. 

Improves appearances of cellulite

The infrared radiant heat of Jacuzzi® saunas increases thermal energy in tissue and is effective at temporarily reducing cellulite. There is a direct link between the slowing of metabolic rates and the storage of toxins in fat cells. Sauna use and far infrared heat can temporarily increase heart rate and promote a temporary increase in localized blood circulation.  This may reverse the above-mentioned trends towards the accumulation of liquids in the fat cells to reduce the appearance of cellulite.2
